Via kxan.com. Monday, Hurricane Nicholas was bearing down on the Texas coast, as residents boarded up and bought supplies a local attorney came up with a novel idea to cheer everybody up.
Mark Metzger dressed up like Michael Myers from the “Halloween” movies, complete with a bloody-looking rubber knife, and decided to walk the fog shrouded beach in Galveston. Metzger said, “I did it for the people, the tourists who are stuck down here. "They honestly weren’t expecting a tropical storm to pop up, but they’re stuck here in their hotels… so [I] kinda thought, maybe they can get a laugh.”
Surprisingly, somebody called the cops. After he was briefly cuffed and they figured out it was a prop knife, he was was cited for disorderly conduct and released. On Instagram Mark said this wouldn't deter him from staging more "funny" stunts, “So if taking a silly walk down the beach during a storm in a costume, and subsequently being arrested for disorderly conduct accomplished any of that … then I’d do it again all day every day.”
