ASHLAND, Ohio – Michelle Neville, a longtime employee in the human resources office at Ashland University, has been recently promoted to chief human resources officer.
“Michelle has contributed significantly to the human resources department during her 24 years at Ashland University. I am so thankful to have someone with her experience and integrity leading our efforts in this essential area,” said AU President Jon Parrish Peede.
As the chief human resources officer, Neville will develop and implement the university’s human resources strategy to align with its overall goals and mission and support its faculty, staff and students. She will oversee all aspects of employee management, including talent recruitment, training and development, compensation and benefits, policies and procedures, manager resources, compliance and ethics reporting.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as chief human resources officer. I look forward to using the experience I’ve gained over my years at AU to contribute to the betterment of the university,” said Neville.
Neville has served in the human resources office at the university since August 2001, most recently as the compensation and benefits manager.
Neville is also a two-time alumna of AU, having earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary education in 1995 and an MBA in human resources management in 2016.
