Richland County EMA Director, Rebecca Owens, has resigned.
According to RichlandSource.com, Owens, last month on March 18th, was placed on a performance improvement plan by the Richland County Commissioners. A statement from commissioner, Cliff Mears, said, Owens chose to resign 30 days later, effective April 17th.
Owens was hired to lead the Richland County Emergency Management Agency in December of 2022.
