Mansfield Police are investigating a homicide that took place on West 4th Street on Thursday afternoon.
Assistant Chief, Jason Bammann told WMAN News, a homicide victim was found inside of a vehicle and a shooting victim has been taken to the hospital. No word on their exact condition. Police units are canvasing the area looking for the shooter, who is on the run.
The incident, which is the 6th homicide in Mansfield this year, took place near the entrance of North Lake Park. It is believed to have happened inside of a car, which then crashed into a concrete pillar, according to RichlandSource.com.
No further details are being released at the time. The incident is under investigation.
