4 Demolitions Approved In Ashland Center Run Trail Project

Ashland City Council has approved the demolition of 4 structures along Miller Street, which is part of the Center Run Trail project.

Mayor Matt Miller says the work is to repair the creek that runs through town along Main Street and Cleveland Ave that saw structures, like houses or garages, built too close to the creek.

Ashland, using a $1.2 million grant, plans to turn it into a green space and add benches and sidewalks along the creek, which runs from Broad Street to Miller Street.

Many over the years have called it town creek, but the real name is Center Run, which was the original name back in the 1890’s.
