Ashland to advertise for bids to update Traffic Signals

Ashland City Council this week gave mayor Matt Miller the go ahead to advertise for bids to update Traffic Signals in the city. RichlandSource.com reports, it’s being called “The Main Street Traffic Signals Upgrade Project, which will see new signals, led lighting, curb ramps and sidewalks at Claremont Avenue and West Main Street.The traffic lights at Third and Cottage will get upgrades too. The project will take place in 2019 and the total cost is just over $340,000, but will cost the city of Ashland just under $126,000, thanks to money from the Ohio Public Works Commission.
