The Enchanted Forest Gala:
A Night to Benefit Discovery School
Discovery School is holding its Enchanted Forest Gala at Westbrook Country Club on Saturday, April 29th from 6-10pm.
Tickets are $75 each which includes:
· appetizers
· complimentary cocktail (plus cash bar)
· dinner
· music from Nyte Flight Entertainment
· featured performance by Mansfield’s Queen of Soul CONNE
· silent auction with ‘Night Out’ packages, family memberships, and personalized artwork from the students of Discovery School
All proceeds raised at the Gala will go towards scholarships, which 25-35% of our students receive annually, and supporting our ‘Little School in the Woods’ in its mission to provide each child the educational opportunity to discover, with perseverance and imagination, the joy of learning and the interconnectedness of our world.
Since its establishment in 1975, Discovery has thrived with its focus on inquiring, exploring, and academic excellence through creativity. Though much more development has occurred around us, our campus remains on the 40-acre oasis of old growth forest situated between the Mansfield Art Center and Raemelton Therapeutic Equestrian Center. We are proudly accredited as an International Baccalaureate World School, offering the Primary Years Programme, and serving more than 150 students in Preschool through Grade 6.
We believe strongly in the value of our curriculum both short and long term. Even though our kiddos will only be with us through elementary school, we take great pride in knowing they will carry a passion for learning and exploration with them as they transition to neighborhood schools and new communities. It is our sincere hope to give as many children as possible this strong foundation. As a result, the generosity of alumni, friends and family, and local businesses during Richland Gives in the fall and our Fundraiser in the spring are always a vital part of our annual budget.
