Ashland University Women Beat Glenville State, Will Play For National Title

The Ashland University Women's basketball team defeated the defending national champion, Glenville State, 76-67 on Wednesday night in the Final Four in St. Joseph, Missouri. The win punches their ticket to play for a national title, next weekend in Texas. The AU Women, despite 26 turnovers and going 9 for 19 from the free throw line, will try and win their 3rd national title. (2013, 2017). Ashland had 4 players scored in double figures: Annie Roshak 17 points, Savaya Brockington 16 points, Hayley Smith 15 points and Hallie Heidemann with 13 points.

#1 Ashland, now (36-0), which is the 4th time they have won that many games in a year, will play #6 Minnesota-Duluth (32-3) on Saturday, April 1st at 3:30 pm in Dallas for the NCAA Division II National Championship. It will mark the 5th time Ashland has appeared in the title game.
