The Mansfield Division of Police responded to 123 Arthur Avenue on January 17, 2020 at approximately 8:12 PM after receiving a call in reference to a person being shot. Upon arrival patrol officers made contact with numerous subjects inside the residence. Patrol officers located a female who was suffering from a gunshot wound in the kitchen. The female victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Witnesses at the scene advised officers that they had heard numerous shots outside the residence and then the female stated she was shot. Witnesses stated that the female had been in an argument with a male shortly before the shots were fired.
A Mansfield Police Forensic Science Section Evidence Technician responded to the scene and certain evidence was collected from the residence and the street and sidewalk.
