Lexington Names Tim Scheid Head Football Coach

Lexington High School Monday morning named defensive coordinator Tim Scheid as its next Head Football coach. Scheid, who takes over for Taylor Gerhardt, has led the Lex defensive for the last 12 years. Scheid played a role in helping develop Lexington’s Mr. Football Cade Stover, who will play for Ohio State next year. Scheid is from Pennsylvania and is one of 80 applicants that applied for the job.

Scheid, who is 38 year old, also ran the defense under former Lex coaches BJ Payne and Dan Studer.  Scheid said it is a great blessing to get the job and the 3 previous coaches helped him in his career.
