Group Raises $36,000 Toward Ashland Golf Course

A group called “Friends of Brookside Golf Course” has come together and raised nearly $36,000 to help the financial problems of the Golf Course in Ashland. RichlandSource.com reports, Ashland City Council felt it would take about $141,000 from the general fund to keep the Golf Course afloat until the end of the year. The “Friends of Brookside Golf Course” is made up of 23 members and hopes to limit the amount of money needed from the general fund. Brookside Golf Course has already saved $74,000 by getting rid of the golf pro manager job.
