Listen to Styx on iHeartRadio

Styx has shows booked through the end of the year.  But guitarist James "J.Y." Young says that's not the end to the group's road work.

The rocker tells the group will soon make an announcement regarding dates for 2014.  He admits he "can't talk about it yet," but promises "people will be pleased with it."

Young adds the group is "threatening to maybe record a song or two," but can't say for certain when - or even if - Styx will have new music available.  He admits the band has little incentive to return to the studio, since even legends like Paul McCartney and the Rolling Stones have a hard time getting their latest songs played on the radio.

But Young says even if they don't make a new album, Styx is "not retiring" and is "not going away."  Styx's next shows are coming up on the West Coast.  The band will play a two-night stand in Lincoln City, Oregon on Friday and Saturday.

So far Styx has two dates booked for 2014 - January 19th in Las Vegas and January 22nd in Anaheim, California.  The group's full schedule is posted at
